Women of the World: Voices, Stories, and Images from Freiburg
On Thursday, October 8, 2026, the Haslach Community Library invites you to a special reading. Women from Freiburg with diverse migration and life experiences will read from their own texts and share personal perspectives.
Literary Voices Between Biography and Present
The reading connects literary language with lived experience. In the participants' own texts, individual memories, cultural influences, and different paths through life come together. This creates a multi-voiced literary experience that enriches the cultural discourse on belonging, identity, and female perspectives.
Accompanying Program to the Exhibition Historias de Evas
The event is part of the art exhibition Historias de Evas. Images and illustrations accompany the reading and create a dialogue between visual art and narrative language. The intimate atmosphere of the community library makes the encounter with the authors immediate and personal.
Open Reading with Refreshments
Admission is free, and registration is not required. Refreshments at both event dates invite attendees to converse after the reading and continue the impressions of the evening in a relaxed atmosphere.
Conclusion: An Evening for Lived Diversity
Women of the World brings together personal voices, literary expression, and artistic impressions at a special cultural venue in Freiburg. Those who want to experience literature as an encounter, memory, and social reflection will find an open evening filled with linguistic and visual impulses.
