I just leisurely walked by so that I could get a couple pictures and a video! I’d actually like to go to one of the shows one day and checkout an actual performance!

Opera Tosca: wonderful Service: bad, CASH ONLY. You can find yourself paying an expensive ticket but being unable to order even a glass of water because you don't have cash. We had to drink water from toilet during 3 hours time. This is not a sufficient level of service expected for a German state opera. Jonathan, Geneva, Switzerland

Saw Rusalka here - very imaginative and engaging performance from Freiburg opera company. The theatre itself is modern and well designed with plenty of space outside the main auditorium.

Don't buy a seat on any of the balconies. Unless you don't care what's happening on stage. Also (disclaimer: we attended 'a midsummer night's dream' and are not theater experts) the play was strangely orchestrated. It didn't help that pretty much the entire cast was naked all the time as this made it really hard to understand who is who. I personally don't mind the nakedness, but there is a reason why strong makeup and masks are common in theater. It enables the audience to understand who is who. We had to read the Wikipedia article to understand what's going on.
