Studio Pro Arte | Directions & Courses

Studio Pro Arte in Merzhausen near Freiburg is more than just a venue for individual events. The house sees itself as a dance house & cultural center, as an academy for children, teenagers, and adults, as well as a place for dance culture, productions, residencies, and encounters. The official website consolidates under one roof the areas of Current Events, About Us, Academy, Dance Culture, Free Art Festival, Youth, Rental, Shop, and Contact & Directions. This mix makes the place particularly interesting in searches: Those looking for Studio Pro Arte Freiburg, Studio Pro Arte Merzhausen, courses, tickets, photos, or rentals do not end up at a classic event hall, but at a vibrant cultural center with a clear artistic identity. The address Am Rohrgraben 4a in 79249 Merzhausen/Freiburg serves as a fixed starting point for visitors from Freiburg, the surrounding area, and the entire region. The contact methods are also intentionally kept accessible, as the house can be reached directly by phone and email. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/))

The self-understanding of Studio Pro Arte is clearly articulated: It should be a place of artistic diversity and encounter, where professional and non-professional dancers, children, teenagers, and adults alike find space for development. On the About Us page, the house describes itself as a center for dance and culture with an academy, as a venue for the international dance world, and as a production and residency site for new artistic creations. This is complemented by the mention of the 2025 award with the Bernd Koberstein Prize, which underscores the social and cultural commitment of the house. For search intentions around reviews, it is important: The brand is perceived not only through courses and events but also through its attitude, its networks, and its visibility in the regional cultural scene. This is precisely why a closer look at directions, rooms, programs, and festival work is worthwhile. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/blank-5))

Directions, Parking, and Accessibility of Studio Pro Arte

For those searching for directions to Studio Pro Arte or parking options, the most important information is pleasantly concrete. The official contact page lists the address Am Rohrgraben 4a in 79249 Merzhausen. The tram line 3 goes to Paula-Modersohn-Platz, from there the path to the house is short and manageable. Those arriving by car are referred to the solar garage/FR-Vauban; it is about a two-minute walk from there. Additionally, there are sufficient bicycle parking spaces available, making the location particularly practical for visitors from Freiburg. This combination of public transport, car, and bicycle is a real advantage, especially for workshops, rehearsals, or evening events, as it covers different modes of arrival easily. The same directions are repeated on the ticket page, which increases the reliability of the information and facilitates orientation. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/kontakt))

It is also practical that Studio Pro Arte communicates clear service times. The contact page lists office hours and reception times; it also notes that the reception remains closed during school holidays. This is particularly relevant for planning a visit if questions about courses, events, room rentals, or projects need to be clarified in advance. Therefore, anyone planning a rehearsal, seminar, or event evening should not only save the address but also keep an eye on the contact times. For local searches regarding directions, parking, and accessibility, a coherent picture emerges: A cultural house that is well connected in Freiburg, that considers parking solutions, and at the same time explicitly takes foot and bicycle traffic into account. This proximity to practice makes the location especially pleasant for families, course participants, and event visitors. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/kontakt))

Rooms, Floor Plan, and Rental in the Dance House

Those searching for Studio Pro Arte rental or Studio Pro Arte floor plan will find a very clear description of the infrastructure on the official rental page. The house offers four rooms and explicitly positions itself as a place for workshops, rehearsal spaces, seminars, and much more. The goal is not just to rent out space, but to provide individual solutions for different uses. The specified areas range from about 60 to 300 square meters, so both small groups and larger formats can find their place. Additionally, the house refers to modern technology, supplementary infrastructure, and catering options. For event organizers, this is a strong signal, as it shows that Studio Pro Arte not only provides spaces but also thinks content-wise and technically. This flexibility is a central argument, especially for dance, performance, rehearsals, and interdisciplinary projects. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/vermietung))

In detail, the room structure is particularly helpful for users. Hall 1 is the large hall for events, seminars, and courses and can be flexibly converted into a black box with around 300 square meters; it is also equipped with extensive lighting technology. Hall 2 is the bright rehearsal room with mirrors, dance floor, and direct access to the outside and foyer, making it attractive for workshops and courses. Hall 3 has a parquet floor, dance mirrors, and a piano, making it particularly suitable for courses and seminars. Hall 4 is described as a small rehearsal room with parquet, ideal for small groups and focused rehearsals. The studios are complemented by the foyer as a break and meeting area, as well as a backstage area that can be used for technical purposes or costumes. This mixture of function and atmosphere makes the house particularly interesting for searches for photos and room impressions. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/vermietung))

The external representation also makes the size of the house clear. An event listing states a total area of around 1000 square meters and indicates that Studio Pro Arte can accommodate up to 200 guests seated or standing. Such information is particularly relevant for interested parties comparing the house as an event location, rehearsal space, or production site. It is important to look at the purpose: Studio Pro Arte is not a standard banquet hall, but a versatile cultural venue with a dance focus that allows for very different setups depending on the format. This is precisely why questions about hall, capacity, technology, foyer, and access are so often associated with the search term Studio Pro Arte Freiburg. Those planning an event will find here not only space but also a contextually suitable environment for movement, stage, and encounter. ([eventlocations.com](https://www.eventlocations.com/en/venues/studio-pro-arte-merzhausen?utm_source=openai))

Courses, Academy, and Current Schedule

The academy is one of the most important reasons why Studio Pro Arte appears in search queries for courses, programs, and dance houses. The official academy page describes a weekly course operation for children, teenagers, and adults that encompasses a wide range of contemporary and urban dance styles as well as theater, yoga, acrobatics, and parkour. A central feature is the open entry: The current course schedule applies to all levels, and entry is possible at any time. This is particularly attractive for families, teenagers, and adults, as it does not impose a rigid annual logic but creates a flexible access to the lessons. For the local search intention, it is also important that the house offers not only dance lessons but also a pedagogically clearly formulated academy. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/akademie?utm_source=openai))

The course structure is finely differentiated. There are offerings for parents and children aged 0 to 3 years, for child-friendly dance from 3 to 5 years, for children aged 6 to 11 years, for teenagers from 12 years, for adults, and for professional dancers. The content ranges from contemporary and hip-hop to breakdance and jazz to ballet, floorwork, parkour, theater, and yoga. Additionally, creative dance workshops, advanced training, and special formats for older target groups are mentioned. This breadth explains why the term Studio Pro Arte course plan is so frequently searched: The house does not only cover one style but connects various dance and movement forms with a clear pedagogical claim. Holiday programs, workshops, and seminars are also part of the offering, making the search for courses and holiday activities additionally relevant. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/akademie?utm_source=openai))

Particularly exciting are the fixed ensembles and company structures. The academy page mentions the Youth Company, the Urban Dance Company, and the Company Pro Arte, which represent the artistic mission of the house and perform at festivals, public events, and private events. The offering is complemented by intensive dance and theater projects during school holidays, created in cooperation with schools and kindergartens. A current schedule for January 2026 and a contribution to the schedule from April 2026 also show that the course offerings are continuously updated. Thus, Studio Pro Arte is not only a place for one-time visits but a permanent training and development center. Those searching for Studio Pro Arte Freiburg, dance courses, or theater courses will find here a stable structure with many entry points and clear perspectives. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/akademie?utm_source=openai))

Events, Productions, and the Free Art Festival

As an event venue, Studio Pro Arte thrives on its proximity to the professional dance and cultural scene. The About Us page describes the house as a cultural venue and production site where local and international dancers, choreographers, and artists from other genres come together. Guest performances, own productions, and festivals bring the professional dance world into the house, while international networks and partners continuously expand the program. For the search for events, this is a central signal, as it shows that the house offers not only teaching spaces but also real production and performance conditions. This combination of technology, space, and artistic attitude is crucial, especially for performances, residencies, and interdisciplinary formats. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/blank-5))

The most visible example of this is the Free Art Festival. The festival database of the European Festivals Association describes the festival as founded in 2020 and now known throughout Europe for dance, performance art, workshops, and a program for professional dancers as well as for people with and without prior dance experience. The festival combines performances, action stages, workshops, contests, labs, choreographic projects, interactive formats, and live concerts. It is aimed at professionals, semi-professional dancers, the general public, as well as children, teenagers, and families. Thus, the Free Art Festival fits perfectly with the identity of Studio Pro Arte: open, quality-oriented, internationally networked, and at the same time regionally anchored. So, those searching for Studio Pro Arte Free Art Festival are actually looking for the most visible expression of the house as a cultural center. ([festivalfinder.eu](https://www.festivalfinder.eu/festivals/frei-art-festival))

The ticket page also shows how the house is organized between regular operations, projects, and special formats. The ticket shop offers tickets for performances, events, and shows, but currently lists no upcoming events. At the same time, project and holiday offerings become visible, including a summer dance ticket and summer holiday programs. For visitors, this is important information, as it immediately indicates that the focus should not only be on individual evening events but also on course offerings, project formats, and seasonal tickets. Those searching for Studio Pro Arte tickets generally want to find a specific entry point. The official ticket page makes this possible and also shows that the program is published in waves and depending on the project phase. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/tickets))

Photos, Reviews, and Practical Visit Tips

The search queries for photos and reviews show that many interested parties want to get an impression of the place before a visit. On the official website, Studio Pro Arte consciously works with a visual language: The homepage, the rooms page, the About Us page, and other subpages are enriched with images, gallery impressions, and project photos. This supports the perception of the house as a lively cultural place, not as a sterile hall. Those searching for Studio Pro Arte photos should therefore first open the official pages, as there the spatial feeling, movement aesthetics, and artistic atmosphere become most visible. Especially in the dance sector, this visual impression is important, as the spatial effect, height, lighting mood, and usability of the studios are often just as decisive as mere numbers. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/))

For concrete visit planning, the service information is the most helpful. The contact page lists email, phone number, office hours, and reception times and explains that the reception remains closed during school holidays. This makes the organization of rehearsals, course inquiries, rental requests, or ticket questions transparent. Those working with reviews should also always distinguish between personal impressions and official facts: The most reliable starting point remains the website of the house, while ratings and testimonials should be considered more supplementary. For visitors, this means practically: First check directions, then select the appropriate course or event, and use direct contact for any open questions. This way, the search query turns into a real visit with clear orientation and without unnecessary detours. ([studioproarte.de](https://www.studioproarte.de/kontakt))

Great place and valuable contribution to youth and culture in Freiburg. It's impressive what a few people have built up here with little capital. Huge respect. We had a wonderful event and a nice insight into the appealing program!

I've been dancing at Studio Pro Arte since I was 3 years old (the dance school had only been around for 2 years then), I've seen them move locations multiple times, and I'm extremely glad that the studio now has its own property for several years. I always feel totally welcome and at home in the studio, and since 2023, I've been part of the Company, finding a second family. Unfortunately, some instructors seem to violate quiet hours and play music after 10 PM, and the loud bass is often too strong during class. I can totally understand the residents on this point and wish for more communication between the dance school and neighbors to create a respectful environment that considers both sides, as the studio is right in the middle of a residential area. Sadly, the building is also poorly insulated, which allows sound to easily escape outside. I wish for funding so that the dance school can finally properly insulate and renovate the building. Studio Pro Arte is my safe space; I feel welcome, supported, heard, seen, and at home here. For me, it definitely means more than just dance lessons, as over the years it has become an integral part of my life, especially in the last two years, where I gained insights into the heart of the dance school through the Company.

Great dance school even for the little ones!! Kids are 'picked up' and 'taken along'... playfully, together... Competent, friendly staff!! My daughter has a lot of fun in children's dance.

I checked out the dance school for my 11-year-old daughter. The studio is very nicely decorated and also large. The people were very nice. However, I decided against enrolling her because the entire environment is not suitable for a child, especially if she is supposed to go there alone later. There is a restaurant, very nice, but also filled with many, sometimes very loud adults and older teenagers. All of this is in a confusing backyard. I wouldn't want my daughter to go there alone, especially in the dark season. Maybe it's more suitable for adults.

Absolutely reckless behavior towards residents and neighbors. They like to turn up the music with heavy bass on a holiday, park wildly everywhere, and smoke in front of neighbors' windows. Some people seem to not understand that the place is in a residential area and that people live here. Hopefully, you'll be evicted soon. Or better yet: move voluntarily, preferably to an industrial area where you can't annoy anyone!
