We had a very good experience here. The potato soup was the best ever, the bread crispy, and the sausages were also very good. Prices are okay for a touristy location. Overall, a great place for a quick bite to eat.

I was at the Kurhaus last night and I'm absolutely thrilled. From the warm welcome to the dessert, everything was just perfect. You can immediately tell that a lot of love for detail goes into this place – both in the kitchen and in the service. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening. I will definitely come back and can only highly recommend it to everyone!

I'm quite impressed! Such a great and cozy place with delicious food and drinks. I especially enjoyed trying the African drinks. The team is very warm-hearted and there's a cheerful atmosphere. I can only recommend a visit to everyone and will gladly return on my next stay in the area. ☺️

We were there today for the opening and had a very nice afternoon at the bistro. We’ve known Alyas hand-brewed coffee, his homemade cookies, and his homemade lemonades for a long time, and we were super excited that he now runs his own bistro. I had the Montenegro tarte flambée, and my wife had the Kurhaus salad. Both dishes were very delicious. Our insider tip: The ginger shot :-) Besides the standard menu (with great tarte flambée, daily soup, various salads, cakes, and tarts, etc.), there’s a lunch menu for weekdays and a nice selection of drinks. It’s rare to see how coffee is really hand-brewed. This bistro is full of love and joy for good food… We wish our friends a successful start and much success at the Kurhaus in Hinterzarten.

We actually just wanted to stop by for a quick coffee today. It turned into a test of patience. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed and noticeably disorganized. We had order number 14. Guests with number 5 had already been sitting at their table for about 30 minutes without a drink and eventually demanded their money back in frustration. It continued like that. The problem was less about the crowd and more about the obvious lack of structure in the service. Processes seemed unclear, priorities were not set, and communication was chaotic. This place urgently needs someone to organize the service and establish clear processes. Unfortunately, the potential of the place is being wasted.
