Concert Hall Freiburg | Program & Tickets 2026

The Concert Hall Freiburg is one of the most prominent venues in Freiburg im Breisgau and has combined a clear urban presence with an unusually versatile use since its opening in 1996. The building was designed by Berlin architect Dietrich Bangert and today serves as both a concert hall and a congress center. The operator reports more than 10,000 events since its opening and over 3 million guests who have experienced special moments here. This combination of history, location, architecture, and flexibility makes the Concert Hall Freiburg interesting for visitors looking for programs, tickets, parking, seating plans, or the best seats. Those wanting a quick overview will find not just a classic concert hall here, but a multifunctional venue with light, space, and atmosphere, designed for large concerts as well as conferences, galas, and corporate events. Program, Events, and Tickets for the Concert Hall Freiburg

When people search for the Concert Hall Freiburg program, Concert Hall Freiburg today, or Concert Hall Freiburg events 2026, it usually revolves around the same question: What is currently happening, and how can I quickly get the right information? The answer begins on the official website with the event calendar. There, the dates of the venue are consolidated, making concerts, events, and other formats visible in one place. This is particularly practical because the Concert Hall Freiburg is not just a classical concert hall, but also a venue for congresses, conferences, meetings, business formats, social events, and hybrid events. Therefore, the calendar is not just a list of dates, but the central tool for anyone planning their visit or looking for current and upcoming dates for 2026. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/veranstaltungskalender?utm_source=openai))

The Concert Hall Freiburg is particularly well-known for concerts because the Rolf Böhme Hall, according to the operator, has excellent acoustics suitable for artists, ensembles, and orchestras from many musical fields. Regularly performing there are, among others, the SWR Symphony Orchestra and the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, as well as international soloists and ensembles. This shows that the focus is not only on a specific genre but on a broad program ranging from classical to entertainment. So, those searching for concert hall Freiburg concerts or concert hall Freiburg tonight are not just looking for an event but often for a very specific atmosphere: for an evening where music, space, and organization fit together. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/en/formats/concerts?utm_source=openai))

Tickets and vouchers for events at the Concert Hall Freiburg are available online in the FWTM ticket shop and additionally through Reservix ticket outlets in Freiburg and the surrounding area. The mentioned ticket outlets include, among others, the Tourist Information at the Town Hall Square, VAG Pluspunkt, the Freiburg Fair, and the BZ ticket service. For guests traveling from outside, the venue also recommends the event ticket from Deutsche Bahn. This is important for visit planning because ticket purchases can be organized not only digitally but also locally. Those looking for a fixed plan for 2026 thus have a clear point of contact for ticket availability, advance sales, and the organizational preparation of their visit. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/info-center/besucherinformation))

The topic of tickets is closely linked to the service philosophy at the Concert Hall Freiburg. The venue sees itself not only as a stage but as a professionally managed event house with clear pathways for visitors and organizers. That is precisely why the search for concert hall Freiburg tickets is so relevant: visitors do not want to search long between different pages but want to quickly understand where purchases are possible, which ticket outlets exist, and what infrastructure is available on-site. Together with the event calendar, this creates a simple process: find a date, secure a ticket, plan your arrival, and prepare your visit with as little friction as possible. For a venue of this size, this is an important advantage because the clearer the ticket path, the more relaxed the actual event visit will be. Parking, Access, and Visitor Services at the Concert Hall Freiburg

Those searching for concert hall Freiburg parking or concert hall Freiburg parking garage primarily want to know one thing: How uncomplicated is the arrival? The Concert Hall Freiburg is well set up in this regard. According to visitor information, the access is well signposted, and for arrival by car, there is a route from the north and south via the Rhine Valley Autobahn A5 with the Freiburg-Mitte exit. The travel time from the motorway feeder Mitte to the concert hall is about 10 minutes. From the east, the arrival is described via the A81 and B31, with orientation also taking place via the motorway feeder Mitte. This information is particularly helpful for visitors because it not only indicates that the venue is centrally located but also how to practically arrive. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/info-center/besucherinformation))

When it comes to parking, the Concert Hall Freiburg offers two underground garages with around 800 parking spaces directly in front of the building. Additionally, the directly connected Novotel Freiburg at the Concert Hall provides another 102 parking spaces in its underground garage. So, those looking for a parking garage nearby will find several options on-site with a short distance to the entrance. This is especially important for evening events and during high visitor volumes, as the arrival time is reduced to just a few minutes from the parking lot to the hall. For visitors, this means in practice: less stress upon arrival, a manageable route, and more time before the event begins. Due to its proximity to the old town and pedestrian zone, additional parking spaces and underground garages in the city center are also easily accessible from the concert hall. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/info-center/besucherinformation))

Public transport access is also explicitly designed for comfort. The concert hall is located in close proximity to Freiburg's main train station and the ZOB. This is a significant advantage for those who want to forgo a car and parking garage or are traveling from other cities. Additionally, bicycle use is well considered: there is a Frelo station directly at the concert hall, and the bike station at the train station offers covered bicycle parking just about 100 meters away. For visitors who want to combine an event with a city visit, this is a very pleasant overall package. Short distances, a central location, and a dense mobility network make the Concert Hall Freiburg a venue that works well for both local guests and those from outside. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/info-center/besucherinformation))

However, the visitor service extends beyond just access and parking. Already on-site, it becomes clear that the Concert Hall Freiburg is designed for a smooth process. In the visitor information, tickets, arrival, parking, and accessibility are explained together, showing how closely these topics are interconnected. Those who plan early save time and nerves on the event day. This is particularly important on large evenings because the quality of the experience does not begin in the hall but already at the orientation in front of the building. The central location, good signage, underground garages, and clear visitor information are therefore not secondary matters but an essential part of why the Concert Hall Freiburg is so attractive to many people. Seating Plan, Seats, and Capacity at the Concert Hall Freiburg

When searching for concert hall Freiburg seating plan, concert hall Freiburg hall plan, or concert hall Freiburg best seats, it is important to know that the venue works with various room and seating arrangements. The central hall of the venue is the Rolf Böhme Hall. There, up to 1,744 seats are possible in row seating, 750 in parliamentary seating, and 850 in banquet seating. The hall measures 1,000 square meters and is described by the operator as the heart of the venue. For concert visitors, this number is relevant because it not only shows the size but also the versatility of the space. Those looking for a seating plan should always keep in mind that the specific arrangement may change depending on the production, type of event, and hall variant. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/en/rooms))

The Rolf Böhme Hall is also considered the superlative hall of the venue and the second-largest concert hall in Southern Baden. This is particularly relevant for SEO topics such as seats, hall plan, and best seats because visitors often want to understand the reach of the hall and how it affects the experience. Due to the variable seating, the same room can appear very differently depending on the event: sometimes as a concert hall with a dense audience atmosphere, sometimes as a conference room with a focused direction, sometimes as a festive setting for banquets or gala evenings. This leads to the practical advice for visitors: the best seats depend not only on personal preference but also on the respective seating arrangement. Therefore, for concerts and special events, it is always worth taking a look at the event-related hall information and the ticket process of the respective organizer. This is not a limitation but an expression of the flexibility of this venue. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/en/rooms))

In addition to the large hall, there is the Round Hall, which is inspired by ancient theaters and is organized around a central stage. It offers 350 seats in row seating, 200 in parliamentary seating, and 250 in banquet seating on an area of 300 square meters. Additionally, there are conference rooms 1 to 9, which can accommodate between 21 and 130 people depending on the room. The foyers are also important because their generous spaces are not only reception zones but also additional event areas. The ground floor foyer comprises 500 square meters, including cloakroom and information desk, the first upper floor 1,350 square meters, and the second upper floor 1,150 square meters. For all those searching for capacity or hall plans, this shows: The Concert Hall Freiburg is not a single room but a complex of spaces that can accommodate very different audience sizes. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/en/rooms))

This variety makes the venue so interesting for visitors and organizers. Attending a large concert offers a different spatial experience than a conference or a gala. The SEO search for concert hall Freiburg seats or concert hall Freiburg best seats is therefore not just a matter of rows and numbers but also about how the space has been staged for the respective event. The official event and room presentation of the venue emphasizes variable lighting and seating options as well as state-of-the-art technology. For visitors, this means: the seating plan is always part of the artistic or organizational concept. Those who inform themselves in advance understand the respective production better and can make their seat choice much more consciously. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/))

Rooms, Architecture, and Special Highlights of the Concert Hall Freiburg

The Concert Hall Freiburg is interesting not only because of its size but also because of its architecture. The operator describes the building as flooded with light and highlights the special atmosphere created by the architecture of Berlin architect Dietrich Bangert. The side walls feature a large glass facade, sophisticated wall coverings, and elegant furnishings. This is noteworthy for visitors because here, there is not simply a functional hall available, but a spatial ensemble that actively shapes the impact of each event. Whether concert, congress, or gala: the venue is designed for an impression that is clear, modern, and simultaneously representative. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/ueber-uns?utm_source=openai))

The infrastructure of the venue is also an important part of the overall picture. According to the official room specifications, the Concert Hall Freiburg has 12 rooms that are fully accessible. The largest room is the Rolf Böhme Hall with 1,000 square meters of space, various seating arrangements, and the possibility for various event formats. Additionally, there are the foyers with large areas and two balconies that expand the reception area and give the venue additional openness. Natural lighting, variable blackout, modern event technology, and flexible room use are not empty buzzwords but clear features of the location. Those searching for a place where various formats can be credibly implemented will find one of the most versatile venues in Southern Germany here. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/en/rooms))

Another highlight is the opportunity to experience the venue digitally or visually in advance. The website offers a virtual tour and a drone flight through the concert hall. This is useful for visitors because they can already get an impression of the rooms, foyers, and pathways before the event. Especially when searching for concert hall Freiburg seating plan or hall plan, this is helpful because the understanding of room sizes and sightlines often becomes tangible only through visual impressions. The environment also plays a role: the large forecourt and the central location in the heart of Freiburg contribute to the representative character of the venue. Thus, the concert hall is not only functional but also spatially a striking part of the urban experience. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/))

For event professionals, it is also important that the venue works with state-of-the-art event technology and that natural light, lighting control, and variable seating are considered together. The page on event formats emphasizes that the Concert Hall Freiburg is suitable for congresses, conferences, meetings, events, concerts, and hybrid formats. This shows how versatile the venue is used in everyday life. The special highlights are therefore not only aesthetic in nature but also lie in the technical and organizational flexibility. Those visiting the venue will thus see not only a beautiful hall but a well-thought-out system of architecture, space, and service. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/formate?utm_source=openai))

Accessibility, Cloakroom, and Gastronomy at the Concert Hall Freiburg

A significant advantage of the Concert Hall Freiburg is its barrier-free design. The access to the venue is level, the doors are wide enough for wheelchair users, and the transition between the foyer levels is possible via a wheelchair-accessible elevator. Additionally, accessible restrooms are available on all levels. For people with limited mobility, there is barrier-free access from the main train station, and there are disabled parking spaces in the concert hall garage. This is particularly relevant for the keyword search concert hall Freiburg accessibility, as it not only formulates a claim but concrete infrastructure is available. Visitors with disabilities thus find a venue that is genuinely prepared for accessibility. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/info-center/barrierefreiheit))

The Concert Hall Freiburg is also well-equipped for people with hearing impairments. In the Rolf Böhme Hall and Round Hall, the MobileConnect app can be used, which transmits audio signals in real-time via Wi-Fi to the user's smartphone. Additionally, there is an inductive hearing system in conference room 9. For people with visual impairments, the floor selection in the elevator is indicated in braille. Furthermore, the venue supports organizers with additional measures such as special furnishings, sign language interpreters, or documents in braille if needed. These offerings show that accessibility here is not seen as a mandatory task but as an integral part of the visitor and event concept. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/info-center/barrierefreiheit))

Practical visitor questions are also well addressed at the Concert Hall Freiburg. Tickets and vouchers are available online and at ticket outlets. For the cloakroom, there is a mandatory check-in, including bags and backpacks larger than DIN A4. Controls are conducted at the staircases leading to the halls. For many visitors, it is important to know this in advance as it relaxes the process in the evening. At the same time, the culinary needs are taken care of: before, during, and up to 30 minutes after the concert ends, guests can use the gastronomic offerings in the foyer. There are, among other things, sparkling wine, soft drinks, and light snacks. Those who wish can reserve a table for catering during the concert breaks upon arrival on the event day. This makes the visit not only more comfortable but also more manageable. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/info-center/besucherinformation))

For the search for concert hall Freiburg parking or concert hall Freiburg tonight, this service is just as important as the architecture itself. Because a successful evening at the concert hall does not begin with the first note but with a good arrival, smooth orientation, and a stress-free transition from the outside space to the event. The Concert Hall Freiburg provides clear information, easily accessible entrances, a thoughtful internal organization, and a gastronomy that is oriented towards the real needs of the guests. This blend of comfort and structure makes the visit particularly pleasant for many people. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/info-center/besucherinformation))

Its a very beautiful place. Before the show, you can buy a beer, pretzels or some sekt. They only work with cash though. The program also costs extra 10€. The acoustics is good and there are 3 screens to help see if your seating far.

Amazing concerts, but the building... Better to listen music with an eyes closed. And in a fur coat during the winter time.
