Additionally, the venue points out the obligation to check in larger bags and backpacks at the cloakroom area, which keeps the flow in the halls orderly and calm. For visitors arriving by car, there are two underground garages with around 800 parking spaces available right in front of the congress center, including the Concert Hall garage and the train station garage. Particularly convenient is the Concert Hall garage itself: According to the parking garage page, it has 520 parking spaces, is open continuously, has 4 charging points for electric cars, and an entrance height of 2.00 meters. Additionally, it is noted that the directly connected Novotel Freiburg at the Concert Hall offers another 102 parking spaces in its underground garage. Seating Plan, Seats, and Capacity at Concert Hall Freiburg
When it comes to seating plans and seats, the Rolf Böhme Hall is particularly important, as it is the heart of the concert hall. The hall is named after Dr. Rolf Böhme, the former mayor of Freiburg, who significantly advanced the construction. In row seating, the hall accommodates up to 1,744 people, in parliamentary seating 750 people, and in banquet seating 850 people; the area measures 1,000 square meters. Particularly interesting for the search intent Concert Hall Freiburg seating plan is the high flexibility: There is a configurable stage, optionally a sloped hall floor, and optional side tiers. Additionally, the hall can be used without seating or stage depending on the event, creating a large free area. This versatility makes the hall equally attractive for concerts, conferences, meetings, galas, and other formats. There is therefore no rigid scheme, but always a seating plan tailored to the respective event. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/en/rooms/rolf-boehme-saal))
The Round Hall complements this offer with a different, deliberately dramaturgical spatial effect. Its architecture is inspired by ancient round theaters and is oriented towards a central podium; through the circular arrangement, the surrounding gallery, and the influx of daylight, a very special atmosphere is created. The capacity is 350 people in row seating, 200 people parliamentary, and 250 people in banquet; the area measures 300 square meters. For the question of the best seats, it is particularly important that the room functions ideally at events with an action focal point and that individual seating plans are possible upon request. Those looking for seating with maximum flexibility will also find suitable solutions in the conference rooms: The venue has a total of nine conference rooms on the upper floor, which can be used either individually or in larger combinations such as K2-4 and K5-7. Thus, the Concert Hall Freiburg not only offers a large main hall but also a well-thought-out system of different room sizes and seating concepts. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/en/rooms/runder-saal))
Round Hall and Conference Rooms for Flexible Formats
The conference rooms of the Concert Hall Freiburg are an essential part of the SEO topic surrounding events, seating plans, and capacity. On the second upper floor, nine rooms of different sizes are available, suitable for workshops, seminars, conferences, back-office tasks, press conferences, or media receptions. Particularly practical is the combinability: The rooms K2 to K7 can be used individually or in larger combinations as needed. For larger settings, the rooms are equipped with modern event technology, individual seating plans, and a clear organizational structure. Conference Room 9 is particularly large and offers 130 seats in row seating, 70 seats parliamentary, and 24 to 90 seats in banquet on 123 square meters. Those searching for Concert Hall Freiburg seating plan or Concert Hall Freiburg seats will quickly recognize that the venue offers not only a main hall but also a complete room architecture for professional event planning. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/raeume/konferenzraeume?utm_source=openai))
This very flexibility makes the Concert Hall Freiburg a strong location for business, science, and culture. The official website describes the venue as a place that offers more than just space and can transform into almost any atmosphere. This is not an empty marketing promise but is made visible through the changeable hall variants, variable seating arrangements, and open foyers. Even in the Rolf Böhme Hall, the side areas open up to the foyers depending on the variant, allowing events to appear spatially large yet still elegant. This is particularly valuable for gala formats, conferences, or congress fairs, as reception, plenary, and networking can be brought together in a coherent process. Therefore, those searching for Concert Hall Freiburg events will find not only concerts here but also a technically and organizationally very strong infrastructure for various event concepts. This is one of the biggest advantages of the venue over traditional single-purpose locations. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/en/rooms/rolf-boehme-saal))
History, Architecture, Photos, and Sustainable Highlights
Historically, the Concert Hall Freiburg is closely linked to the modern self-image of the city. Since its opening in 1996, the venue has established itself as a fixed entity in the southern German event market and has built a high reputation far beyond the region. The architecture of Dietrich Bangert continues to shape the building today with a clear, light-rich design language that immediately catches the attention of visitors. The Rolf Böhme Hall bears the name of the former mayor of Freiburg, who significantly shaped the construction; thus, local history is also directly visible in the building. For those searching for Concert Hall Freiburg photos, the official website is also helpful, as it offers a virtual tour, a drone flight, and image galleries. This allows interested parties to get a good impression of the foyers, halls, and spatial effects even before their visit. This is particularly valuable for event planners, guests from outside, or couples and companies wishing to inspect a venue in advance. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/en/about-us))
Sustainability is also not a secondary topic at the Concert Hall Freiburg but part of the concept. The venue operates with 100 percent green electricity from the energy supplier badenova and has a photovoltaic system on the roof that, according to the official site, produces 60 kWp. Additionally, LED technology is used in foyers and orchestra lighting, a carbon-controlled ventilation system in the Rolf Böhme Hall, participation in fairpflichtet, and the consistent use of reusable dishes at events in public areas. For visitors, the location directly across from the main train station is also a sustainable advantage, as arriving by train, tram, or bus is particularly easy. Furthermore, the venue points out Frelo, the city's bike rental system, whose station is located directly in front of the Concert Hall. Those searching for Concert Hall Freiburg jobs will also find information on open positions and areas of responsibility related to event management, technology, and administration on the FWTM career page. Thus, the Concert Hall demonstrates not only cultural but also ecological and professional relevance. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/en/info-center/sustainability))
Accessibility and Service for Visiting Concert Hall Freiburg
Accessibility is comprehensively considered at the Concert Hall Freiburg. Access from the main train station and from the forecourt is barrier-free, all entrance doors are threshold-free, and a wheelchair-accessible elevator connects the various foyer levels. On all levels, there are wheelchair-accessible restrooms, and designated wheelchair spaces are provided in all rooms. In the Rolf Böhme Hall, these spaces are either in the side tier or in the last row of seats in the auditorium, depending on the hall variant; the exact booking should always be coordinated in advance with the respective organizer. For individuals with hearing impairments, the venue offers the MobileConnect app as personal hearing support in the Rolf Böhme Hall and the Round Hall, while Conference Room 9 is equipped with an inductive hearing system. For individuals with visual impairments, the floor selection in the elevator is marked in Braille. This consistent equipment makes the Concert Hall a location that is not only large but also inclusively designed. ([konzerthaus.freiburg.de](https://konzerthaus.freiburg.de/info-center/barrierefreiheit))
Service topics are also pleasantly clear. At the cloakroom, bags and backpacks larger than DIN A4 are checked in to keep the pathways to the halls calm and orderly. In the foyer, there are catering offers available before, during, and up to 30 minutes after the concert ends, so drinks or small snacks can be conveniently obtained on-site. Those planning a relaxed concert evening can even reserve a table for the break catering in advance, making the process even more comfortable. Additionally, a personal contact person is available for organizers and guests, which facilitates the planning and organization of additional services. In conjunction with the central location, good public transport connections, and parking options, this creates a very user-friendly overall picture. This is an important reason why the Concert Hall Freiburg is so frequently chosen when searching for programs, tickets, parking, seating plans, or today: It combines the atmosphere of a large cultural house with the practical advantages of a modern, service-oriented event location.
Amazing concerts, but the building... Better to listen music with an eyes closed. And in a fur coat during the winter time.

Its a very beautiful place. Before the show, you can buy a beer, pretzels or some sekt. They only work with cash though. The program also costs extra 10€. The acoustics is good and there are 3 screens to help see if your seating far.
