Hochschwarzwald Tourism | Events & Newsletter
Hochschwarzwald Tourism is the official destination marketing organization for one of the most well-known vacation regions in southwestern Germany. Those looking for Hochschwarzwald Tourism GmbH, events, newsletters, or jobs will find here a brand that is much more than just a tourist information center. Since 2009, the company has been working to make Hochschwarzwald as a whole visible, inform guests, support hosts, and bundle experiences throughout the region. According to official information, the company employs around 100 staff, represents more than 2,400 accommodations with nearly 34,000 beds, and accompanies around 3.8 million overnight stays each year in a vacation region that is among the most popular in Germany. This makes Hochschwarzwald Tourism GmbH a central point of contact for vacation, inspiration, and service from a single source. At the same time, the location in Hinterzarten shows how closely advice, marketing, and regional networking are interconnected. Those who want to get a quick first impression will find not only contact information on the website but also hints about tourism offers, host services, newsletters, events, and the Hochschwarzwald Card. This mix of planning assistance, regional expertise, and digital service shapes the perception of the brand. ([hochschwarzwald.de](https://www.hochschwarzwald.de/en/service/about-us))
Events and Christmas Market in the Ravennaschlucht
A particularly strong theme around Hochschwarzwald Tourism is events, foremost the Christmas market in the Ravennaschlucht. The official pages dedicate several subpages to this format, which shows how important the event is for the region. The backdrop is extraordinary: In the Höllental near Breitnau, a thousand-fold illuminated hut village meets the 40-meter-high railway viaduct of the Höllentalbahn, steep wooded slopes, and the Hofgut Sternen. This combination of nature, technical history, and winter atmosphere makes the market an experience that clearly differs from classic city center markets. Visitors will find traditional crafts, Christmas music, and a selection of food and drinks that strongly emphasizes regional products. According to the official description, the gastronomic providers come from the Black Forest, many services are awarded regionally, and the design of signs and banner structures is planned so that materials can be reused. The arrival is also part of the concept: the site recommends public transport and deploys free shuttle buses from Himmelreich, Hinterzarten, and Titisee. There are also indications of barrier-free parking options for the market, while the regular parking lot at Hofgut Sternen is not available during the event. For the winter edition in 2026, the site points out that ticket and opening information will be published later in the year. So those searching for ravennaschlucht, christmas market, or events will find here a strong combination of experience, regional identity, and practical visitor information. Newsletter, Photos, and Current Tips from Hochschwarzwald
The newsletter is one of the strongest digital tools of Hochschwarzwald Tourism because it tells the region not only informatively but also emotionally. According to the official website, it appears every 14 days and contains a mix of story of the week, experience tips, new attractions, current vacation offers, event tips, and information about the Christmas market in the Ravennaschlucht. This fits perfectly with users searching for hochschwarzwald tourism newsletter, events, or advent calendar, as they expect not only sober facts but also regularly new ideas for their next outing. The newsletter is not isolated but part of a larger information system: the website features a newsletter archive, thematic sections, excursion tips, accommodations, experience offers, tour tips, and event highlights. Additionally, there is a clearly visible social media presence with links to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, X, and YouTube. So those searching for photos will encounter a visually oriented brand presence with images, stories, and campaigns that inspire a vacation in the Black Forest. The added value lies not only in the mass of content but also in its usability: guests can conveniently subscribe to seasonal topics such as winter hiking, summer experiences, new excursion destinations, or Christmas market updates instead of having to gather each piece of information individually. For SEO considerations, this is particularly important because newsletters, photos, inspiration, and current tips in the region are closely linked. Hochschwarzwald Tourism thus occupies the entire upper area of search intent: first arousing interest, then planning specific trips, and finally offering direct service contacts. Jobs, Team, and Career at Hochschwarzwald Tourism
Also in the area of jobs and team, Hochschwarzwald Tourism presents itself as a modern employer brand with clear regional roots. The career page emphasizes that no day is like the other: employees welcome guests, develop and implement marketing strategies, and plan and organize events. At the same time, the company describes a work environment with varied tasks, team spirit, a pleasant working atmosphere, and high personal responsibility. According to official information, the HTG team consists of around 100 employees; additionally, eight students and trainees are mentioned. This is not only interesting for personnel communication but also for search queries such as hochschwarzwald tourism gmbh team or hochschwarzwald tourism gmbh employees. Applications are sent via email to jobs@hochschwarzwald.de according to the website. Particularly noteworthy is that HTG also supports new employees in finding housing or a room. Additional benefits include Hansefit, which gives employees access to more than 1,600 partner offers, including gyms, swimming pools, climbing halls, and squash facilities. Employee gatherings, team events, and a high day are also mentioned, where employees can explore Hochschwarzwald themselves and document their impressions in a blog post. For the positioning of the location, this is important because the site is perceived not only as a tourist address but also as an attractive employer. So those searching for jobs, employees, or team will find here not an abstract company profile but a concretely described working world with service orientation, leisure value, and close ties to the region. Directions, Contact, and Parking in Hinterzarten
For all practical questions regarding directions, the address of Hochschwarzwald Tourism GmbH is clear: Freiburger Straße 1, 79856 Hinterzarten. This is also where the parking lot at the Kurhaus is located, which is officially described as a paid parking lot at Kurhaus Hinterzarten. The site names it as a direct starting point for many hikes, such as the nature experience path or the gourmet path Säbelthomaweg, and in winter also as a starting point for the Hinterzarten trail network. This is important information for users searching for parking, directions, or Hinterzarten, as they immediately understand that the location is not only central but also functional. The contact page complements this with a clear service offering: those who have questions about vacation planning or want to share suggestions can use the contact form or call by phone. According to official information, the hotline is available Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on weekends and holidays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Additionally, the site refers to tourist information on-site, which is helpful for guests who prefer personal advice. This mix of digital service, classic advice, and real accessibility is a central part of the brand's impact. Especially since the region strongly lives from excursions, hiking, winter sports, and seasonal events, the question of location plays a significant role. Hochschwarzwald Tourism is therefore not only a brand address but also a practical meeting point for orientation, planning, and regional support in Hinterzarten. ([hochschwarzwald.de](https://www.hochschwarzwald.de/kontakt))
Hochschwarzwald Card and Guest Service
Another central theme around Hochschwarzwald Tourism is the Hochschwarzwald Card. According to the official description, guests have access to around 100 attractions and experiences free of charge once, including museums, ski lifts, indoor climbing parks, outdoor pools, indoor pools, and mini-golf courses. The use is tied to a stay in participating accommodations and is possible from a minimum of two overnight stays. The services can be used once per stay, including arrival and departure day, via a QR code. This makes the card a strong argument for guests who consider not only accommodation but also experience value in their travel. Particularly interesting are the additional benefits: discounted card prices are available, among other things, for a 4-hour ticket in the Badeparadies Schwarzwald and for ski tickets in the Feldberg ski area. For the region, this is strategically relevant because the card emotionally and economically enhances the stay over several days while simultaneously strengthening the connection between hosts, attractions, and tourism organizations. The website also makes it clear that on-site advice is possible if questions arise about usage or individual inclusive services. So those searching for hochschwarzwald tourism gmbh, guest service, vacation ideas, or events will quickly land at a system that is much more than a simple discount card. It connects inspiration, practical bookability, and regional diversity. This combination is one of the reasons why the brand works so well in Hochschwarzwald: it bundles information, experience, and service into a clear, recognizable benefit for guests and hosts. ([hochschwarzwald.de](https://www.hochschwarzwald.de/planen-buchen/hochschwarzwald-card?utm_source=openai))
Photos, Reviews, and Trust in the Hochschwarzwald Brand
Those searching for photos or reviews of Hochschwarzwald Tourism GmbH usually expect first a quick visual impression and then a trust signal. The provided location dataset lists 4 stars based on 81 reviews, which at least indicates a solid perception among the audience. On the official website, this first impression is supported by images, stories, and clear service channels. The start and subpages work with image galleries, experience photos, and strong thematic tiles, while newsletters, contact pages, and social media links establish a direct connection to the brand. This is important for a tourism organization: credibility arises not only from facts such as address, team size, or card services but also from the way content is presented. Hochschwarzwald Tourism presents itself as a regionally anchored, professionally managed service and marketing unit that addresses vacationers, hosts, and partner businesses alike. In practice, this means: guests can get inspired online in advance, receive current information via newsletter, and if needed, call directly or visit a tourist information center. The combination of imagery, editorial topics, social media connectivity, and personal accessibility strengthens trust in the brand. For search queries focused on reviews, the review score itself is not only relevant but also the overall picture of the digital presence. Those planning a trip, outing, or event in the Black Forest will not find an anonymous entry here but a regionally known organization with clear communication, seasonally relevant content, and a broad service base. This is particularly valuable when one wants to prepare a trip, an outing, or an event in the Black Forest. ([hochschwarzwald.de](https://www.hochschwarzwald.de/kontakt))

Used the Hochschwarzwald Karte to book Badeparadies. I paid online but got no tickets due to technical problems on their side. No service from staff to resolve the problem by phone while being blocked at the entrance. It took a lot of time to resolve, staff at the entrance of Paradies had to call to get confirmation from them to be sure that we really paid... all very offending experience. The website is also very confusing. Never going back to Hochschwarzwald again, in general, locals working in tourism in hotels and restaurants do not treat foreign tourists well, giving the impression that you better go elsewhere; nice that you pay (a lot), but that's all. I know friendlier places for holidays. Hills and forests cannot do it alone.

Digital Hochschwarzwald card is unusable. Understandably, this is new, so many hosts have problems understanding how to register their tourists. I don't blame them at all, they are not IT and shouldn't have to be doing this. The link for card activation only directed us to the main website with no option to activate the card. On the 3rd day, we received a QR code (normally given to people that don't have smartphones), meaning we got blocked for online registration. We could only "use" the "card" if we go book all PLUS services in person at Hochschwarzwald tourism office. Which we didn't know and only found out about 3 days later. Traveling to another town to book services means no flexibility. It took three days trying to book Badeparadies Schwarzwald (assuming this is Badeparadies Schwarzwald's fault as they seem to be changing their business approach, prices and webshop). This was only possible to book thanks to great help from nice ladies in the tourism office. Thank you! All in all we lost 3.5 days out of 6 being able to use HSW card services. This is absolutely unacceptable, there should have been some sort of backup system in place, as well as better support for hosts. Otherwise all the troubleshooting in the end falls down on tourists. Not leaving this review out of bitterness, but hope that constructive criticism will bring change, so other guests in your beautiful region don't experience the same issue. (Not all of us can afford the full prices and card helps a lot with experiencing what the region has to offer, especially as the card is an important selling point for Hochschwarzwald Tourism.) The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because you have wonderful employees that took hours to help us. Huge thanks to them once again for all the effort. But the system needs to change.

Free WiFi. There is no e-bike charging station as such here, but you are allowed to plug your chargers into any socket in the large lobby. There’s also a small bistro there. The building is also open outside the opening hours of the tourist office.
