Community Center Seepark | Events & Parking

The Community Center Seepark is one of the most versatile event venues in the west of Freiburg, combining culture, encounters, and practical usability in a building located directly at the Seepark and on the western shore of Lake Flückiger. Those searching for Community Center Seepark Freiburg are not just looking for a space for events, but a place with history, character, and very concrete benefits for visitors, organizers, and associations. The building was created as part of the State Garden Show Baden-Württemberg in 1986, initially used as a flower hall or state pavilion, and opened as an event house and association domicile on May 1, 1989, after a two-year renovation phase. Today, it is designed for social, cultural, and political events and is rented out by the city of Freiburg through its property management. The entrance of the building is located on the side away from the lake, which is important for orientation on site. Additionally, the Community Center is connected via line 1 and the Betzenhauser Torplatz stop. This mix of history, location, and function explains why so many users search for terms like events, program, rent, park, seating plan, tickets, and restaurant. The building is thus both a classic community center and a flexible event venue for Freiburg's Weststadt and surrounding areas. ([freiburg.de](https://www.freiburg.de/pb/.Lde/563463.html))

Events, Program, and Tickets

The search queries surrounding Community Center Seepark events, Community Center Seepark program, and Community Center Seepark tickets clearly show what visitors expect: a continuously updated offering with different formats, from shows and concerts to lectures, film series, dance evenings, and informational events. This is exactly what the building is intended for according to the city of Freiburg, as public rental includes social, cultural, political, and sporting uses; cultural use explicitly ranges from exhibitions to concerts to theater performances. In practice, this is reflected in the current program. On the Freiburg event platform, the Community Center Seepark features, among other things, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour program, the European Outdoor Film Tour, MUNDOLOGIA lectures, a carnival session, an inclusive job fair, and the variety show at Seepark. This range is particularly important for SEO relevance because it serves multiple search intents simultaneously: some users search for today or upcoming events, others for a specific show or a current ticket link. In these cases, the Community Center Seepark is not an abstract place but a concrete stage for highly demanded formats with clear audience orientation. Particularly the recurring programs make the location well-known: The variety show at Seepark is described as an institution that has attracted audiences for decades; film evenings like Banff or EOFT appeal to outdoor fans; MUNDOLOGIA caters to travel and lecture audiences; and the Fiesta Flamenca shows that dance and live music also have a firm place in the house. Therefore, those looking for Community Center Seepark today or Community Center Seepark upcoming events should first check the city’s event calendar and the event platform, as there the respective dates, ticket prices, entry times, and organizers are well maintained. Access and Parking at Community Center Seepark

When it comes to Community Center Seepark parking and Community Center Seepark access, the most important official information is the connection to line 1 with the Betzenhauser Torplatz stop. This stop is explicitly mentioned in the city’s access description and is therefore the safest recommendation for arriving by public transport. For many visitors, this is ideal, as the Community Center is located in the Mooswald district and is embedded in the Seepark, in an environment that is already heavily influenced by walkers, park visitors, and recreational users. Those arriving by car should pay attention to event-specific notices: Official event pages describe arriving by car as uncomplicated, and for the inclusive job fair, the parking lot at the Seepark mini-golf was mentioned as a concrete parking option. There, ten additional parking spaces for people with disabilities were designated and reserved. This is helpful information, but it is important to place it in context: it comes from an event announcement and is therefore a concrete, event-related parking solution, not a blanket statement about all dates. For SEO logic, this is still relevant because such search queries often aim for real orientation on site. Those searching for parking in Freiburg, parking at Seepark, or Community Center Seepark Freiburg parking usually want to know whether access works for events with high visitor numbers. The official site clearly answers the part regarding public transport connections, while the event platform provides additional information about cars, routes, and parking availability depending on the event. Practically, this means: for normal event days, the combination of line 1 and walking is the most reliable solution; for events with special needs, such as barrier-free events, the individual access pages of the event should be read carefully. This keeps orientation simple without relying on unconfirmed parking promises. ([freiburg.de](https://www.freiburg.de/pb/-/205348/buergerhaus-seepark/oe6003764?utm_source=openai))

Seating Plan, Seats, and Capacity

Those searching for Community Center Seepark seating plan or Community Center Seepark seating chart typically want to understand very concrete room data: How big is the hall, how many people fit in, and what seating arrangements are possible? The official room overview provides precise numbers for this. The large hall with stage has an area of 310 m² and is designed for up to 322 people in row seating, up to 240 people for banquets, up to 108 people in parliamentary style, and up to 450 people without seating. The small hall measures 139 m² and accommodates up to 100 people in row seating, 90 people for banquets, 45 people in parliamentary style, and 150 people without seating. Together, the large and small halls provide a total area of 449 m², which can accommodate up to 518 people in row seating, up to 354 people for banquets, up to 180 people in parliamentary style, and up to 650 people without seating. This is why the capacity of the house is interesting for various formats, from concerts to association celebrations to panel discussions. The official PDF overview states that the stage has a depth of 7.5 meters and a width of 13 meters, providing sufficient space for acting, talks, music, and multimedia formats. Additionally, there is a 265 m² foyer that not only serves as a reception and lounge area but also provides access to the hall area, the office kitchen, the restrooms, the restaurant, and the elevator and spiral staircase to the upper rooms. On the upper floor, there are also three group rooms of 32 m² each and one large group room of 123 m² available. The official site also provides images, floor plans, and seating plans, which is particularly useful for renters, as this makes planning significantly easier in advance. For organizers, it is clear: the Community Center Seepark is not just a hall, but a flexibly usable house with multiple levels, different room sizes, and concrete seating options. Renting, Technology, and Services

The keyword Community Center Seepark renting refers to the actual core of the house as a rentable public facility. The city of Freiburg makes the Community Center Seepark available for social, cultural, political, and sporting events, and the property management Freiburg is responsible for the rental. The city’s site makes it clear that one should contact the team by phone or email before submitting a rental application. The email address imf_vermietung@freiburg.de and the phone numbers 0761 201-2492 and 0761 201-2490 for administration are mentioned; additionally, there is a phone number for building technology. This is a crucial practical point for users planning an event, as contact before the application is explicitly recommended. For the search intent of renting, it is also important that the room data and seating plans are publicly accessible and that the city refers to the price list and house rules. This way, one can not only check room sizes but also the organizational framework conditions. The services are also specifically listed: The price overview includes, among other things, wireless microphones, cable microphones with stands, a sound system, flip charts, screens in two sizes, a lectern, platforms, standing tables, and sales tables. This makes the house technically interesting for lectures, conferences, association evenings, and stage formats, without organizers having to fully organize external basic equipment themselves. Particularly helpful is that the Community Center, according to the official description, has underfloor heating, a supporting ventilation system, stage lighting, and a sound system. This equipment shows why the house works not only for a single type of use but is open to many event formats. The hall can be divided with a partition wall, allowing the room concept to adapt to different visitor numbers. Therefore, those searching for Community Center Seepark theater or Community Center Seepark events will find a reliable event venue with clear rental pathways, comprehensible service packages, and infrastructure designed for live operation. ([freiburg.de](https://www.freiburg.de/pb/229776.html))

Restaurant Lago, History, and Surroundings in Seepark

Another important search reason is Community Center Seepark restaurant, and here too the house provides a very concrete answer: Inside, there is the restaurant Lago with around 100 seats. The official description of the Community Center already mentions the restaurant as part of the repurposing after its opening as an event house; the tourism information of Freiburg describes Lago as a restaurant with regional and international cuisine, with a Baden-Mediterranean orientation, vegetarian offerings, and a view of the Seepark and the Black Forest. This is practical for visitors, as event attendance, dinner, and a stay in the park can be combined. This is also relevant for groups, as the restaurant page mentions a group size of 51 to 100 people. Together with the location directly at the Seepark and the proximity to other recreational offerings, this explains why visitors perceive the place not only as an event house but as a full-day excursion destination. The surroundings offer a classic Freiburg recreational milieu with Lake Flückiger, the Seepark, the Japanese garden, mini-golf, and other green spaces. The official Seepark description names the park as one of the most popular green spaces in the city and describes it as a place with a bathing lake, restaurants, swimming pool, playgrounds, and mini-golf. This fits very well with the profile of the Community Center, as it is embedded in an environment that brings together leisure, nature, and culture. Historically, the place is also interesting because it emerged from the site of the State Garden Show and continues to radiate this mix of urban use and green location. Those searching for Community Center Seepark photos will find images, a floor plan, and various seating plans on the official site, which helps with initial orientation. For SEO content, this combination is crucial: history, location, gastronomy, and recreational environment make the Community Center Seepark a location that goes far beyond mere hall rental and has a very own character in Freiburg. ([freiburg.de](https://www.freiburg.de/pb/.Lde/563463.html))

For users who need particularly concrete orientation, the official images, floor plan, and seating plans are an important advantage, as one can view the pathways in the house, access to the hall area, and the division of rooms in advance. The official site of the Community Center explicitly refers to these materials, showing that the house is designed not only for large events but also for carefully planned formats. This is especially interesting for associations, cultural groups, and organizers who are looking for not just a space but a planable framework when renting Community Center Seepark. In this regard, the connection of event house, restaurant, foyer, group rooms, stage area, and Seepark location is particularly strong. The location does not offer an anonymous event setting but a place with recognition value, urban integration, and proximity to leisure. This is exactly what makes it so relevant for search queries regarding program, parking, access, restaurant, seating plan, and tickets. Therefore, those planning an event today or in the coming weeks should always compare the current event platform, the official house page, and the respective detail pages of the event, as there the real information about date, access, ticketing, and arrival is maintained most reliably. This keeps planning simple, transparent, and aligned with the actual conditions of the Community Center Seepark. ([freiburg.de](https://www.freiburg.de/pb/.Lde/563463.html))
