Art meets Sports: Experience Freiburg anew
On October 1, 2026, the Museum of Contemporary Art invites you to a special tandem tour through the exhibition Playing Field. Sports & Art. Together with the cooperation partner Ring Freiburg e. V., the tour connects artistic perspectives with questions around sports, societal participation, and cultural heritage.
When the museum becomes the playing field
The tour opens up views of artworks in which movement, competition, and physical activity play a central role. The focus is on questions of fair play, rules, overcoming, and social responsibility. In this way, the contemplation of art and sports impulses meet in an authentic atmosphere in the middle of the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Dialogue between art and social participation
The tour shows how sports connect people, shape communities, and make societal debates visible. The perspective of Ring Freiburg e. V. complements the art historical view with experiences from sports and creates a lively dialogue between exhibition, movement, and everyday life.
An hour of discovery experience in Freiburg
From 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the event takes you through the exhibition Playing Field. Sports & Art. The meeting point is in the foyer of the museum.
