Kasperle Theater in Rieselfeld: A lively stage experience for children
When Kasperle enters the stage at the Mediothek Rieselfeld, a cheerful puppet play full of direct audience engagement, childlike imagination, and shared excitement begins. On Friday, October 30, 2026, children from the age of three will experience a short, accessible theater performance with Günter and Gerda Manthey.
Kasperle invites participation
The production relies on the immediate power of puppet theater: familiar puppet figures, a manageable stage situation, and a storyline that unfolds very close to the young audience. Kasperle Theater thrives on quick dialogues, clear roles, and the special moment when children not only watch but actively respond.
Puppet theater with closeness and joy of play
Günter and Gerda Manthey combine acting, puppet play, and spontaneous audience interaction to create a theater atmosphere that particularly reaches younger viewers. The Mediothek becomes a small performance space: voices, movements, and the reactions of the children drive the action and make each performance an immediate stage experience.
An afternoon for little theater fans
The performance is aimed at children from three years old and lasts from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The open character facilitates entry: the audience is welcome to come in, take a seat, and participate. This creates an informal connection between theater visit, storytelling world, and shared audience reaction.

The Kasperle Theater in the Mediothek Rieselfeld promises half an hour full of joy of play, childlike excitement, and immediate stage art.
