Mal Pixel mal: A colorfully diverse family experience with robot Pixel
When a drawing robot suddenly finds itself in a world full of shapes, colors, and curvy brush strokes, an imaginative adventure begins for children and families at the 33rd Freiburg Children's Literature Festival. Reto Crameri presents his picture book Mal Pixel mal with a visually strong event for children aged 4 and up.
Robots, Colors, and Big Questions
Pixel has a special task: he paints pictures. Yet amidst strict shapes, bright red and blue, and experimental action painting, the robot discovers that creativity means more than precise work. The story invites children to think about joy, imagination, and whether robots can even have fun.
Child-Friendly Art to Wonder At
The event combines children's literature with visual art and opens an age-appropriate access to shapes, colors, and image creation. Particularly for young visitors, a playful learning experience unfolds: they experience how lines, brush strokes, and color splashes grow into their own picture world. Children's laughter, curiosity, and shared wonder make the reading a special family time.
An Inspiring Festival Moment
The Freiburg Children's Literature Festival has been bringing young readers together with authors and illustrators since 1994. The program promotes reading enjoyment, cultural education, and creative development. The event with Reto Crameri is aimed at children aged 4 and up and lasts about an hour.
Well Prepared for Theater Freiburg
The reading will take place in the Winterer Foyer of the Theater Freiburg. The venue offers wheelchair access. Admission is free and no registration is required. Families will experience a safe, inspiring indoor event with literature, pictures, and plenty of space for imagination.
