Family Afternoon Full of Adventure at the Weingarten Adventure Playground

On Wednesday, November 4, 2026, the Weingarten Adventure Playground invites families from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM to an open program and family day. Children, teenagers, and adults will discover creative offerings, nature experiences, and the special magic of an afternoon outdoors together.

Wild Cooking for Curious Explorers

With the Wild Cooking event led by Patrick and Jo, trying things together becomes a family experience. Children will experience how something special is created from simple ingredients and their own ideas. The practical activity enhances independence, sensory perception, and learning fun in a relaxed environment.

Mini Project Workshop with Space for Own Ideas

In the Mini Project Workshop with Dorian, young visitors can create, build, and develop their own solutions. Such open tasks promote creativity, fine motor skills, and problem-solving abilities. The child-friendly learning experience takes place without performance pressure and with plenty of room for curiosity.

Creative Offering for Young Artists

Hannah invites everyone to a creative offering. Colors, materials, and personal ideas come together to create individual works. Children can unleash their imagination while parents and siblings enjoy valuable time together. Children's laughter, wonder, and visible pride make the afternoon a special family experience.

Encounters with Goats and Chickens

Another highlight is the visit to the goats and chickens with Rubina. Direct contact with animals provides age-appropriate knowledge about the needs of animals and creates an immediate learning experience in nature. Children observe, ask questions, discover, and develop attention and a sense of responsibility.

Safety and Age-Appropriate Supervision

The family day is open to everyone. During family days, adult companions take responsibility for supervising children under six years old. The adventure playground combines open children's and youth work with experiential educational offerings. Sturdy clothing and solid shoes support safe and relaxed play in the outdoor area.

Conclusion: Discovering, Creating, and Wondering Together

The open program and family day provide families in Freiburg with a diverse afternoon filled with creativity, nature, animals, and shared time. Admission is free. Those looking to connect child development, fun in learning, and genuine encounters will experience a truly special family day at the Weingarten Adventure Playground.
