Fun and Discovery in the Freiburg Children's Library
Controllers in hand, curiosity activated, and together exploring new game worlds: At Gaming in the Children's and Youth Library Freiburg, children aged 8 and older experience an exciting afternoon with Nintendo Switch and PS4 games. The event combines digital gaming with shared time, encounters, and learning fun in a familiar library environment.
30 Minutes Full of Concentration and Joy
Children aged 8 and older can try console games for 30 minutes. The focus is on joy, curiosity, and respectful interaction. The offer creates an age-appropriate access to digital media and invites children to discover games attentively, make their own decisions, and share experiences with each other.
Gaming as a Learning Experience
The City Library Freiburg uses gaming as an accessible entry point into the library. Children and young people get to know the library as a place of encounter and find suitable media alongside the games. The offer playfully strengthens language skills and reading competence by connecting interests from the digital world with books and other media.
Child-Friendly, Accompanied, and Safe
The selection and use of the games are based on age ratings. Clear rules, limited playtime, and respectful interaction ensure a reliable framework. This creates a family-friendly media experience that combines digital curiosity with safety, community, and age-appropriate development.
A Meeting Point for Families and Young Media Fans
The Children's and Youth Library at Münsterplatz offers a special atmosphere: Between books, media, and curious fellow players, gaming becomes a joint family experience. Children can test new things, develop their opinions on games, and discover the library as a lively learning and leisure place.
Conclusion: Play, Wonder, and Discover Together
At Gaming in the Children's and Youth Library Freiburg, families can expect a free, child-friendly afternoon with console games, encounters, and valuable stimuli for media and reading competence. Those who enjoy trying digital games and want to explore new media worlds will experience shared time filled with children's laughter, concentration, and learning fun.
