Programming Ozobots: Digital Exploration Journey for Children in Freiburg
When small robots zip along self-drawn colored lines, programming becomes a visible family experience: In the Digital Trick Box: Ozobots, children aged 6 to 9 discover the basics of digital control playfully in the Media Library Rieselfeld.
Colors Become Secret Commands
The intelligent Ozobots react to colors and simple commands. Step by step, children experience how a functioning course is created from an idea. They draw paths, test movements, and curiously observe how the little robot navigates its route.
Learning Fun with Visible Results
The workshop combines creative design with child-friendly media education. Participants practice logical thinking, discover cause and effect, and develop their own solutions. No programming skills are required, so beginners can also join in right away.
Ages Appropriate, Collaborative, and Free
The offer is aimed at children aged 6 to 9 years. Collaborative tinkering, experimenting, and improving fosters curiosity and creates a valuable learning experience. The event takes place in the Children's and Youth Media Library Rieselfeld and provides a protected environment for child-friendly digital education. The access is barrier-free.
Important Notes for Families
The Digital Trick Box: Ozobots takes place on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Participation is free and does not require registration. As the places are limited, early arrival before the start is recommended.
