Children's Theater with ALPACAH: Stories Come to Life
A picture book, acting, music, and a lot of joy in play: The Ensemble ALPACAH invites families to a fantastical children's theater at the city library at Münsterplatz on October 16, 2026. Children from 4 years old will experience how a story transforms into a lively theatrical experience – with children's laughter, wonder, and shared time.
Right into a Fantastical Picture Book World
On stage, ALPACAH combines scenic play and music into a child-friendly performance. Familiar or new picture book worlds receive movement, voice, and atmosphere. This creates an age-appropriate learning experience that strengthens the joy of stories and makes children curious about books, language, and theater.
Engaging Family Experience for Children from 4 Years
The 30-minute performance fits well with the attention span of younger children. Acting and music create diverse impressions and invite the audience to attentively follow characters, emotions, and actions. Parents and children experience the theater together and discover the expressive power within a story.
Words & Vibes at the City Library
The children's theater is part of the Words & Vibes series – Freiburg Book Festival. The city library at Münsterplatz will become a meeting point for literature, families, and cultural education. The venue is weather-independent and accessible according to DIN 18040.
Educational Value and Safety
Theater supports children's linguistic development, imagination, and emotional perception. By connecting books, music, and acting, young visitors gain a playful access to literature. The short duration, the clear age recommendation from 4 years, and the protected indoor space create good conditions for a relaxed family experience.
Conclusion: Wonder, Laugh, and Discover Stories Together
The children's theater with the Ensemble ALPACAH promises a warm, imaginative afternoon for families. Children experience literature not just as text, but as a living scene with music and movement. Admission is free – a wonderful opportunity to experience culture together and awaken the joy of stories.
